The 7 series at one point was considered as the dark horse of its segment, but then everything went bellies up when it got infamously Banglized. Now in its 6th generation the new Beemer is chalk full with bells and whistles, actually its pretty impressive tech and is no doubt a fantastic opportunity to dazzle unsuspecting passengers, for example the car can take commands from motion gestures just like a Samsung screen, and you can park it using the key fob as a controller, while you are outside the car. But if only its design was able to keep up with this sheer amount of innovation. Where the tech is cutting edge, the design is less forward thinking and more of an iteration of a currently existing design theme that has been well pioneered by the 3 series and has transitioned to the 7 series in a very heavy handed manner. If the 7 series is not leading in terms of design in its very own lineup, how can one expect it to lead among its segment? Very blunt edge indeed.
