So the IS has just gotten a facelift, and to be honest I was really excited about the prospect. As soon as the NX got a facelift and we saw the horrid L-shaped daytime running lights disappear into the main light cluster, I said to myself, phew that means the face-lifted IS will follow suit and in parallel make the IS look prettier, just like the understated coolness of the second generation. Sadly they have took another route and made the front of the car even more awkward looking and perhaps to some off-putting. Lexus has a very solid lineup and their build is impeccable and I believe their interiors to be stylish and breath of fresh air. Other tweaks include an interior refresh, interface upgrade and all round tinkering in the design and drive train. But I really doubt the styling of this IS iteration will stand the test of time.
